The Perspective of Expecting, Declaring, Proclaiming Part I

The anointing is on me to write.  So, I move with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Another year is almost gone....  But not gone yet.  As we enter into the holiday season many people take stock of their lives; where they are, how the year went and what could be better in the year to come.  Too many of us have not made significant change or moved drastically forward towards our destinies.  Why is that?  There may be many reasons.  For some, we knew what to do but we didn't seem to have all the resources to do it.  For others, the timing didn't seem quite right in the midst of all the other things that are on our plates. Unfortunately, some were just too afraid to change and decided to accept a place they consider comfortable and sufficient.

For those of us who want all that the Kingdom of God has to offer I post this blog and welcome your comments.  God has appointed to each of us a purpose and a destiny that He designed and ORDAINED prior to our birth into the world.  Since we are His children and the vessels He works through in the earth, we must find out and live out that purpose so what He predestined takes place. No, we won't know it all. But we must at least move forward with what He has already revealed in full faith and expectation that what He has purposed and promised will be fulfilled.  If you doubt in any way that it won't happen, then it cannot happen through you.  God can only give you what He has and He only has what is Good (His definition of good) and Perfect (James 1:17).  If you expect anything different than Good or less than Perfect, you won't get anything from God because He doesn't have that to give you.  Faith is a thing and it is the vehicle that causes things to manifest.  If you have faith you will have expectation.

Understand who He is and what He has in store.  You wouldn't go to Macy's to buy groceries or to McDonald's to buy clothes.  When you have a need you go to the place where you EXPECT to have your need met because you know what that store has to offer, both the substance and the quality of that substance. When you go to God you have to ask for the right things.  First ask for wisdom over what you already have and what you expect to receive.  The "what" can be things but it is also relationships, health, employment, your living circumstances, places you should be or not.  Wisdom is still the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7).  Now, if you wait and hear Him after you ask for wisdom, God will reveal to you what to want and ask of Him.  He will reveal your purpose and destiny.  Once He has revealed that through His wisdom, then you ask your "what" in alignment with that.  Now of course He wants you to be provided for, comforted, needs met, etc.  So the specifics of all those things are okay to ask for or about because they are in line with your achieving your destiny.

BUT, when you ask God for ANYthing, you should only ask for the BEST because that is all He has.  If you ask for less, "almost but not quite", hand-me-down or "any old thing will do", you should expect to receive nothing from God.  And James 1 says you will receive nothing because of your doubt and unbelief.  In other words, you really don't expect to get it or you expect it to be less than what you asked for.  But God doesn't work like that.  He gives above and beyond expectations of Good and Perfect.  If there is no expectation there, you can't get anything. For God is a God of multiplication, not addition or subtraction.  He multiplies blessings and zero times anything is still zero.  No expectation, No Good or Perfect gifts. You may get some things that are okay but where it came from?  That's for you to determine.

God cannot change.  He cannot dwell in darkness.  Rather His presence makes darkness flee.  So, you can't expect Him to come down and dwell in your dark places of low to no expectations.  He can bring your out but He won't live there with you. But if you expect the best from God, and do not waiver or doubt that He can and will do it, you will receive far above your expectations,  for God will be pleased by your faith.    Expect only the best from God!

This is already too long!  But in the next few days I will share the key to declaring and proclaiming that can make a difference in your life right now, BEFORE the year is out.

The Lord God loves you with grace, favor and blessings.  The blessing is having a right relationship with Him.  Out of that flows miracles and life.  You are His beloved child and He desires to bless you with only the Best!  Live in Expectation of Him.

So many of us have lived in circular patterns for far longer than we thought possible and had ever hoped.  No matter how we try, we make only marginal improvements with no true break from a life less desired.  We can see and feel the life we believe God has for us but it always seems to be right out of our reach.  

But in spite of a life seemingly stuck in cycles we still believe in our God.  We work to confess what we believe He has done or will manifest in our lives. We sow offerings looking for 30, 60, 100 fold returns.  All the while, we ask, God what must we do to move forward in life? Whether it is our career, finances, health or relationships, the answer is the same.  To our steadfast faith we must add works.  We quote this scripture so frequently but do we truly understand its meaning in the context of the various areas of lives?  

Each man is given a set of abilities by God at our birth.  These abilities evidenced through our likes and passions are nurtured through our life experiences, both chosen and unchosen.  God places a yearning within us to use those abilities at the appointed times.  We seek to pursue our purposes through them but the current circumstances seem to distract and hinder our efforts.  We employ strategies we think should work but they turn out worse than the average, unsaved person's efforts.  Our disappointment causes us to wonder why those that don't know God "succeed" in business and relationships, when we, the chosen, struggle to meet basic needs.  

The matter is works.  The scripture clearly states that faith without works is dead, James 2:14-26.
  So no matter how much we believe, confess, praise, worship or give it will all come to nothing if we don't put works with it.  You see, the unsaved who see great success exercise and move in some key factors in order to achieve that success.  We, as Christians, must also "work" those factors to succeed and God will grant favor on top of them so that we have great success and God gets the glory.  However, instead of working the following factors, many of us employ our time complaining about our jobs, criticizing our peers, keeping ourselves socially separated so we won't be "contaminated" by the sinners on our jobs and doing just enough to get by.  In relationships we want the best yet we won't do all God commands to make ourselves the best we can be.  We want perfect health but we won't change our diets or exercise. Instead we spend time in excuses.  No matter what area of your life you are seeking to manifest a God-ordained change in there are some key factors of work that will be required to move you out of circular cycles and get you to your goals in faith.

The first is faithfulness and loyalty.  Do your job with a mindset to make your bosses job easier and the company better.  Arrive a little early, don't be the first to run out the door at the end of the day.  Offer help to others.  Be a team player and try to get along with your co-workers even if they have a different way of living.  Isn't this what Jesus did when he spent time with those the religious leaders would not?  In relationships, show friendliness, smile more often than you do now, be more understanding, listen more, forgive more, trust more, seek to be helpful.  Personally, gain more knowledge in the areas God is leading you into, take better care of yourself as you are the temple of God, invest in the Kingdom, invest in your destiny, invest in your family.  Be faithful to those you serve, yourself and to God.

Secondly, be patient.  Set your expectation on what God has said not on your timeline.  Too many of us try something and when it doesn't seem to work right away, we shift and try something else.  We keep trying different things and before we know it ten years have gone by and we are in the same place trying to get something started.  The process may take longer or shorter than what others may experience.  But wait for the promise to manifest on the path the Lord has laid before you.

Thirdly, persevere.  In addition to being patient, keep planting or sowing, watering and tending to the abilities God has given you to employ in the earth.  God will eventually manifest the increase.  But if you plant and sit back to wait without doing the watering and weeding, your seed could die without ever sprouting from the soil.  

Finally, move in perspicacity.  Add to your faith more knowledge of the Word, walk in a deeper relationship in the Spirit so you can add to your worldly knowledge God's wisdom and insight.  With Godly insight you will exceed expectations of man and come into all the great promises you've been hoping to receive.  

It is God's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom and He is a God that will multiply blessings to us.  But if we don't work, God has nothing to multiply.  Any number times zero is still zero. Therein Faith without works is dead.  But when we do our part and have faith, God increases favor and expands us beyond man's expectations.

Who We Have Become

Knowing who we are and becoming all we are to be is built on a foundation of knowing who God is and why He created us.  The foundation of any life is one’s faith for from it you gain perspective on the world and what your role is in it.  Once you know who God is and have a broad knowledge of why He created you, then you can begin to build yourself up by developing a character that will support all the other valuable things you will add to your life.  Galatians 5:22 exhorts us to attain the character of Christ’s spirit which will be evident  when we exhibit Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self-Control. 

So, how do we attain the character of the Spirit of Christ?  First by accepting Him into our lives and then by accepting who we have become by accepting Him.  We have become a new creation that has dominion over all the other living creatures God created.  We are to cover and protect them as He does us humans, both male and female.  We have become members and citizens of the household of God.  We have become the structure in which He resides.  We are now named to Him and not the world.  (Ephesians 2:20-22, I Corinthians 6:19). By accepting Him into our lives, we, actually now live in Him, a new territory, a new residence called the Kingdom of God with its own rules and structures.

If we have not yet come into the perfection of Christ’s character, we still have become all that God says.  For as we yield our lives to Him, he works in and through us to bring us into perfection day by day while we remain citizens of His kingdom.  Therefore, who we are may dictate what we do. But what we do does not necessarily dictate who we are.  For this reason we do not judge one another but instead support and love one another as He brings each one into that place of perfection in the body of Christ.

Background on FUNdamentallyMATH

FUNdamentallyMATH is a comprehensive math software product that teaches math from the basics of 1+1 through Advanced Algebra.  Calculus and probability components will be completed so that the entire K-12 curriculum is covered.  The existing product has proven test results and received great reviews from home-schoolers and university professors. Parents have seen their child’s performance go from a ‘C’ average to an ‘A’ average with 30 to 60 minute use a few times a week over a short period of time.  A formal study conducted by the University of North Carolina, showed that the software was effective to the 95th percentile and helped users increase their raw end of grade scores by over 20 points with one hour a week use over ten weeks.

This result was consistent across racial differences.  Funds are now being raised to convert it into an Internet subscription-based product, incorporate it into a serious-game and market it broadly.

In addition, our game developer is one of the top development firms in the US and its philosophy is similar to ours in that our aim is to help as many children as possible learn math in a positive, non-violent way that will lead to a significant improvement in math proficiency, globally. According to the National Center for Education Statistics in the US, “The Nation’s Report Card, Mathematics 2011”, 59% of all 4th and 66% of 8th graders lacked proficiency in math.  Although this is a slowly improving trend it means that over 36 million of the  61 million students in kindergarten through high school cannot demonstrate competency over challenging subject matter at their grade level.  Proficient has also been defined as solid academic performance for each grade assessed. 

These results are not significantly different from the 2005 results, which also reported outcomes by race.  When reviewed by race, over 90% of African American, 60% of White, 84% of Hispanic, and 80% of American Indian students lacked math proficiency.  This level of proficiency should be significantly improved based on the pervasiveness of technology and other science and math related changes in the way we work and live. 

Although there are other math programs available, our assessments  have shown FUNdamentally Math to have greater breadth and depth in content.  Although it is a comprehensive learning tool, the FUN in FUNdamentallyMath comes from the joy and sense of accomplishment users feel after grasping a subject they were previously challenged by.

Upon launch, the products will be available globally.  But our PR and marketing efforts will start with a systematic US rollout first that will then be expanded on a country-by-country basis.

FUNdamentalllyMath is led by Eleanor Reid who is a management consultant and served as a corporate development officer for many years.  Her experience includes tenures at McKinsey & Company, Goldmans Sachs , and a Real Estate  private equity firm.  She has worked with several start-ups and small  to large businesses and brings a background in engineering as well as business administration.  Other participants in the company are the original developer of FUNdamentally Math and a CEO and COO of a private equity  firm.  Collectively, the team has over 100 years of combined experience in successfully starting and managing financial, real estate and product companies.

The Campaign

FUNdamentallyMATH, in its original form, is a proven, powerful math software tool that has helped children and adults understand mathematics.  It covers the full suite of math from the basics of 1+1 through advanced algebra (Calculus  to be added)

A select few have used this product to improve performance by up to two grade levels in less than 3 months, and now it is time to  give everyone a chance to do the same.

The coding for this product is very complex and requires the developer to be proficient in mathematics. Learn From Experiences But Keep Your "Gifts"

Understanding who we are and accepting who we are is vital to transitioning from one season of life into another.  I Peter 2:9 says,

 "We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation God’s own people.   So that we may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light." 

Those chosen were predestined to obey the Word of God.  What I find interesting in these verses is that those chosen were predestined or created to obey the Word of God.  So, although we all should obey the Word not everyone is chosen or, in other words, has the willingness of heart that is required to enter the kingdom.  Matthew 22:14 says, "Many are invited, but few are chosen".  To be chosen by God is not a biased act of God in which He picks one person over the other randomly.  He invites all to come into the kingdom. But only those that have hearing ears that respond properly to the Word are dressed and ready to become a part of it.  Being chosen is our choice.  

Once you are chosen through God's drawing and your decision to yield to it, you become the son or daughter of God.  And now, because you are officially His child, kingdom principles and laws apply to you 

(I Peter 2:10).  This is why certain people can do things and seemingly get away with or succeed in spite of it, while those of us who have been chosen can’t get away with anything.  We were created with the purpose of being among those that seek the Word, understand and follow it.  When we don’t, we face issues.  When we don’t obey the Word our lives may become traumatic because we are bucking against and are out of alignment with the foundation of our purpose.  The issues give us the discipline needed to bring us back to where we committed to be.  Those who are not chosen are gambling with their destinies by hearing the call but rejecting it.  For whereas Christ has become life to those chosen, He also becomes a stumbling block to those not chosen (vs.7-8).  They will eventually fall.  Therefore, it is imperative that anyone who hears God, obeys Him.

Human beings are the only creatures that try to do things they weren’t created to do.  The only other creatures that may go against their purpose are those that humans train to do abnormal things.  When we buck against our purpose, the plans that God has for our lives can’t flow.  So, we end up praying for change not realizing that the change we seek can only be found on the path that is paved with obedience to the Word. 

Am I being legalistic? No, Because God really does want each of us to live a fulfilled and abundantly prosperous life in every area of our lives without being stressed about whether or not we’ve done everything exactly right.  What I’m speaking of are the conscience choices we make to have lifestyles or characters that don’t line up with God’s Word.  For example, though you used to be a trusting and generous person, as a result of some pain experienced in your life, you now choose to trust no one and always look out for “number 1"-yourself, even if it means that someone else gets hurt.  Or, someone hurt you so badly that you say you’ve forgiven but the bitterness lingers in your heart so you can’t ever seem to be really happy.  Whether you know it or not, that poor attitude shows and keeps you from getting other blessings in life you were predestined to have.  

Now, yes, we learn wisdom from our experiences that teach us how to better interact with or manage our relationships with others.  But what we must avoid is letting those experiences cause us to change the core of who we are. That core is the true character built in each of us by God.  If God created you with a character of trust and generosity.  Hold onto it but use the wisdom learned from your bitter experiences to help you use that character more effectively for the kingdom and thereby, yourself.  If God blessed you with patience and quietness, don't let the way the "world works" intimidate you or cause you to feel like you can't be "successful" (Success is not what many people think it is) because "you are not aggressive enough."  Hold onto what God has blessed you with as you transition through various seasons and circumstances of your life.  We are living stones being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood (v. 5).

We must hold fast to the character that will help ensure we are walking in peaceful obedience and becoming that holy priesthood. Galatians 5:22-24 lays it out: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.  If we can embody and hold onto these seven virtues despite our experience, we will establish a great foundation for being who God intends for us to be and become.

Background on FUNdamentallyMATH

FUNdamentallyMATH is a comprehensive math software product that teaches math from the basics of 1+1 through Advanced Algebra.  Calculus and probability components will be completed so that the entire K-12 curriculum is covered.  The existing product has proven test results and received great reviews from home-schoolers and university professors. Parents have seen their child’s performance go from a ‘C’ average to an ‘A’ average with 30 to 60 minute use a few times a week over a short period of time.  A formal study conducted by the University of North Carolina, showed that the software was effective to the 95th percentile and helped users increase their raw end of grade scores by over 20 points with one hour a week use over ten weeks.

This result was consistent across racial.  Funds are now being raised to convert it into an Internet subscription-based product, incorporate it into a serious-game and market it broadly.

In addition, our game developer is one of the top development firms in the US and its philosophy is similar to ours in that our aim is to help as many children as possible learn math in a positive, non-violent way that will lead to a significant improvement in math proficiency, globally. According to the National Center for Education Statistics in the US, “The Nation’s Report Card, Mathematics 2011”, 59% of all 4th and 66% of 8th graders lacked proficiency in math.  Although this is a slowly improving trend it means that over 36 million of the  61 million students in kindergarten through high school cannot demonstrate competency over challenging subject matter at their grade level.  Proficient has also been defined as solid academic performance for each grade assessed. 

These results are not significantly different from the 2005 results, which also reported outcomes by race.  When reviewed by race, over 90% of African American, 60% of White, 84% of Hispanic, and 80% of American Indian students lacked math proficiency.  This level of proficiency should be significantly improved based on the pervasiveness of technology and other science and math related changes in the way we work and live. 

Although there are other math programs available, our assessments  have shown FUNdamentally Math to have greater breadth and depth in content.  Although it is a comprehensive learning tool, the FUN in FUNdamentallyMath comes from the joy and sense of accomplishment users feel after grasping a subject they were previously challenged by.

Upon launch, the products will be available globally.  But our PR and marketing efforts will start with a systematic US rollout first that will then be expanded on a country-by-country basis.

FUNdamentalllyMath is led by Eleanor Reid who is a management consultant and served as a corporate development officer for many years.  Her experience includes tenures at McKinsey & Company, Goldmans Sachs , and a Real Estate  private equity firm.  She has worked with several start-ups and small  to large businesses and brings a background in engineering as well as business administration.  Other participants in the company are the original developer of FUNdamentally Math and a CEO and COO of a private equity  firm.  Collectively, the team has over 100 years of combined experience in successfully starting and managing financial, real estate and product companies.

The Campaign

FUNdamentallyMATH, in its original form, is a proven, powerful math software tool that has helped children and adults understand mathematics.  It covers the full suite of math from the basics of 1+1 through advanced algebra (Calculus  to be added)

A select few have used this product to improve performance by up to two grade levels in less than 3 months, and now it is time to  give everyone a chance to do the same.

The coding for this product is very complex and requires the developer to be proficient in mathematics. The funds we raise during our campaign will go towards upgrading the program for Internet access, and incorporating the content into a serious-game platform that will allow collaboration among users.  Funds will also be used to set-up the infrastructure of the business including a new website and back office operations to support user subscriptions and track performance, and nationwide Public Relations and Marketing.

 The full cost of product development exceeds $3 million, but this initial infusion will help us accomplish the following:

vUpgrade the existing product and create an Internet-based subscription service, back office and structure

vComplete Phase I of the Serious-Game: currently includes completion of game design, incorporating key performance measures and preparing for initial release of basic math and/or middle school math.
